Learn and Earn: Is it a good idea for a Freelancer?

Being a freelancer is an easy job, provided your profile allows you to be a freelancer, and provided that you keep some other aspects in mind. As a freelancer, you have a lot many options open to you as compared to a person who has a nine to five job.  Many freelancers sometimes get an offer where an assignment that is perfect for their profile is available, but the job requires some other talent that the employer is willing to train you in. Here is my one single suggestion for you about it:

Grab It.

 It Adds to the Profile:

No man is an island, and no profile is perfect in itself. When you worked in a company, you never knew how many other departments were related to your assignment, and how many departments you work would go to before it was finally ready for the client.  It is a known fact that some departments have the easier work while the other departments have harder work. Think about it this way, if the employer wishes to hire two departments, and the work of the other department is simple enough and gets a good amount of money, would you not be interested in it?

I thought so.
Learning another trade while on the job is a very good idea, but of course you should be ready to spend some time learning it, and it would be a good idea to tell the employer where you come from, so that if it does not work out, you still have the assignment, and what you could not do is given away to someone else.

Once you are satisfied that you have learnt enough about your new trade, you can actually put it up as  a value add to your profile.
